But today was our biggest outing yet. We drove all the way to Guelph to give Megan and some of her friends an excuse for a study break!
Since we arrived a few minutes early, we started by introducing Darcy to the horses who live beside the parking lot. (You've got to love a university with horses. And cows, and sheep. But they stay in the barns.) She seemed quite fascinated.
Then we met Megan and her friends, and Darcy ran around and played with them. (She doesn't usually get to walk around in public until she's had all her shots, but we thought the front steps of the vet college should be healthy, if any place is.)
And speaking of the steps, she had a wonderful time running up and down them:
It took almost an hour of playing before Darcy got tired, then we headed back to the car. On the way, we noticed another puppy, trapped inside a mirrored door. She was almost as cute as Darcy.
Darcy was exhausted, and slept all the way home. Meanwhile, Duncan enjoyed an afternoon of peace, quiet, and no sharp teeth while we were gone, but he seemed glad to see us when we got back – even Darcy!
